An important step toward developing international academic cooperation with Southwest Jiaotong University!

During the visit of A. Khamdamov, Rector of the Chirchik branch of Impuls Medical Institute, to the People’s Republic of China, a meeting was held with Professor Lei Ma, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Programs and Dean of the School of International Education at Southwest Jiaotong University, as well as Deputy Director for International Cooperation Dr. Xu Junhua.

During the meeting, the parties discussed establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the School of Medicine of the university and Impuls Medical Institute. Initial agreements were reached on several areas of collaboration, with plans to implement joint initiatives step by step.

In particular, short-term internships and practical training programs in China will be organized for students of Impuls Medical Institute. Additionally, short-term academic visits and experience exchange programs will be introduced for faculty members.

Southwest Jiaotong University was founded in 1896 and is considered the first engineering higher education institution in China. It is widely known as the “cradle of China’s railway engineers” and is a leading institution in railway transport education.

In addition to its strong engineering focus, the university also has a School of Medicine offering programs in healthcare technologies, medical diagnostics, clinical medicine, and healthcare management.

The university consists of 26 schools (faculties) and 3 campuses, covering a total area of approximately 350 hectares.

It offers a wide range of academic programs, including 75 undergraduate, 95 master’s, and 45 doctoral programs.
