Impuls Medical Institute Expands Cooperation with Balıkesir University (Turkey)

Within the framework of the program “Sending Young Scientists for Scientific Internships” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Ahror Tursunov, Head of the International Relations Department of Impuls Medical Institute, who is currently in Turkey at Balıkesir University, held meetings with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chief Physician of the University Hospital Dr. Bahadır Çağlar, and Deputy Chief Physician Dr. Süha Serin.

During the meetings, the parties reached agreements on several important areas aimed at further strengthening cooperation.

In particular:

  • Launching short-term and long-term student exchange programs for students of Impuls Medical Institute at Balıkesir University;
  • Organizing academic mobility programs for professors, lecturers, and medical professionals from Balıkesir University to Impuls Medical Institute;
  • Providing opportunities for students of Impuls Medical Institute to undergo clinical practice at the university hospital of Balıkesir University;
  • Developing telemedicine cooperation between higher education institutions, as well as collaboration in several other key areas.

For reference:
The Faculty of Medicine at Balıkesir University currently provides education to around 1,000 students, including approximately 140 international students. The university hospital has a capacity of 300 beds and serves more than 2,000 patients daily. Over 400 staff members work at the hospital.

These meetings are expected to mark the beginning of a new stage of bilateral cooperation in education, scientific research, and clinical practice.
